Case Studies: Programmes Managed

· Led a programme of cross-functional cost-saving projects across Europe, involving 25 project and technical managers, to improve the cost-effectiveness of combined Telecoms networks. Drove through annual cost savings in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia worth over $11m.

· Managed 90 staff within a major [£0.5bn] national security systems programme, to implement radiation detectors at UK ports.

· Led the programme planning and management for the launch of a new collaborative venture, involving the transfer of c. 500 staff into a new operating company; reported to the COO.

· Accelerated a business change programme within a Government Agency, and reviewed the organisation's project & programme management capability. Also reviewed their significant external consultancy spend.

· Programme managed the establishment of a new Design Authority, achieving seamless knowledge transfer from external consultants to company IT and business staff on a £400M business-critical IT programme.

· Defined and managed a business change programme of 20 operational improvement and efficiency projects and set up the PMO.

· Provided project and programme management support on a major Pensions programme; led a project with 60 Policy staff and also provided strategic assistance to the programme director, including setting up the PMO.

· Directed an £8m business change programme, involving separating a mid-sized public sector organisation from its parent organisation; reported to the CEO.
