Case Studies: Projects Managed
· Led a £1m business-critical Financial and Information Systems implementation, for a publishing company, based on a Sage Tetra CS/3 core, with c. 40% bespoke development. Renegotiated the programme scope, re-planned the detailed schedule, created some contingency and managed further changes to the scope, budget and timescale. Negotiated all the terms of a major subcontract, thereby minimising the company's risk.
· Reviewed the profitability of a major [£1bn] public sector Telecoms network outsourcing programme and recommended improvement initiatives with benefits of £10m, mostly through improving the effectiveness of the Project Management Office.
· Provided project and programme management support on a major Pensions programme; led a project with 60 Policy staff and also provided strategic assistance to the programme director, including setting up the PMO.
· Project managed 2 multi-functional operational improvement teams, each of 10 people, which achieved a 90% stock reduction (£4m) and 80% process cycle time improvement within 6 months within a Manufacturing company.
